A nice introduction to Ocean Sailing with a short passage to Madeira. The trade winds will be playing on our favour.
This 520NM Ocean passage should take around 3.5 days with a average speed of 6 Kts. We should take 1 day for check in and boat check including safety checks and safety procedures before we ste sail. Sometimes we need to wait the perfect time to slip the lines.
If the passage is super fast we will have the chance to landfall in Porto Santo to explore ashore before our final destination - Funchal.
Once in Funchal we will have 1 or 2 days to explore the island before your check out on day 8.

A plan is just a plan. We like to sail, we don't like to motor, so things could get off track sometimes. As sailors we are always depending on the weather conditions, everything is uncertain.
